Zinqué Cafe
Cafés…We like a good cappuccino and a place to sit, meet, start or end the day... Here's the first in our round-up of LA cafés – some that are more than just coffee bars – in various neighborhoods. Check back next week for more!
The Coffee Company | Westchester
More than a coffee house, this fam-friendly restaurant has egg dishes – like the snow crab omelette – and specials like shrimp and grits, as well as a kids' menu.
Hilltop Coffee & Kitchen | Various Locations
A line-up of reliably tasty dishes conceived with imagination… healthful bowls, burritos, a variety of baked goods and tempting treats… like the Nutella Beignet for example!
DEUS Café | Venice
A cool courtyard, a motorcycle theme, a boutique, a gallery, a Venice vibe – along with menu selections like Levain Toast, paninis, baked goods and more.
Zinqué | Various Locations
More than a café, really a bistro of sorts, with an inviting courtyard, a selection of brunch, lunch and dinner dishes. The whole grilled branzino with chimichurri and shaved fennel arugula scored big points for lunch on our last visit. Plus French classics like Moules-Frites, an array of bowls, quiche, sandwiches… you get the picture…
Bluey’s | Santa Monica
This casual Aussie spot (two spots actually) offers tasty breakfast bowls, tartines, sandwiches and smoothies to kick start your engine with added flair… The Little Fatty Sandwich is one possibility: toasted martin's potato bun, fried egg, bacon, American cheese and sriracha aioli.
Urth Caffé | Various Locations
Urth Caffé has been around for quite a while and with good reason. Roasting its own exclusive heirloom, organic coffees and offering a selection of elegant teas, there's also a well-thought out menu with plenty of variety and then… yummy cakes!
