This retrospective features 120 works, including video, drawing, painting, sculpture, graphic works and Pop Shop ephemera that illustrate the range of Haring's artistic practice, activism and influence. The exhibition will include works from The Broad collection and loans from around the world.

Where Earth Becomes Aether

This group show investigates the elemental nature of art-making, using earthy materials including rock, metal, graphite, minerals, textile, clay and plants. Exploring the connection between the physical and emotional, the ephemeral and eternal, and the material and immaterial, the theme refers to the ancient Greek concept of Aether, the fifth element that fills the universe beyond the terrestrial sphere, believed to be the substance that made up the heavenly realm.

This just-opened inaugural show at the brand new LA location of David Zwirner features recent work by the Nigerian-born LA-based painter. Her deeply layered figurative compositions depict people, places and subjects from her life, conveying nuances of contemporary African diasporic identity.
