Peter Krasnow: Breathing Joy and Light

Drawn from the Skirball's collection, this exhibition focuses on Krasnow's post–World War II paintings, composed of mysterious forms in a vibrant pastel palette. A Jewish immigrant from Ukraine who lived and worked in LA's Atwater Village for more than 50 years, the artist drew inspiration from Jewish folktales, the plant life of his home and studio and the optimism of Southern California.
