Painted on handmade textured cotton supports with homemade pigments extracted from plants, flowers and barks found in his parents’ home state of Puebla, these works by the Mexico City-based artist have a mystical quality, blending pre-hispanic imagery and processes with Mendoza's ideas and dreams.
